optimized location of vertiports
1 March 2022
For the various modes of transport, passengers have different access points to the respective transport network. Currently, mobility is very much dictated by the individual modes of transport (e.g., by interval times), and the transition between the modes of transport is associated with an increased expenditure of time. In the next few years, technological developments will also enable transportation by air in regional/urban areas. The classic access point for air transport is the airport, which in its smallest form as a vertiport should allow access in the urban area. In addition to the high safety and security requirements for air transport, suitable locations must also be identified. The aim of this work is to develop a suitable method for site identification considering a changing quality and quantity of traffic demand.
