Master thesis defense

We are pleased to announce that our Master's student, Ms. Leonie-Sophie Pohle, successfully defended her thesis titled "Modeling of Munich Airport to Determine the Necessary Sensor Coverage for Autonomous Traffic Operations." Her research focuses on simulating airport operations at Munich Airport to analyze the sensor network required for automating ground traffic processes. Using the AnyLogic software, she created a detailed model to evaluate sensor coverage for potential real-world implementation. The study provides key insights into optimizing airport surface movements and enhancing overall operational efficiency. This excellent work, supervised by Dr.-Ing. Ehsan Asadi, was recognized with the highest grade of 1.0 (very good). We congratulate Ms. Pohle on this significant achievement.
