
Appointment as Field Advisor at UTokyo

On February 1, 2025, Prof. Michael Schultz was appointed as a Field Advisor at the University of Tokyo, for the aerospace mobility sector at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST), joining an international panel of experts from the USA, Germany, and Japan. This collaboration focuses on advancing digital transformation in air transportation, with particular attention to air traffic management, AI-driven operational strategies, and resilience in aviation systems.
With increasing global challenges in safety, environmental sustainability, and digital integration, this initiative fosters interdisciplinary research to explore solutions that bridge technology, policy, and operations. Prof. Schultz's engagement in this collaboration further strengthens joint research activities and deepens the exchange of ideas across continents, linking European and Asian perspectives in aerospace innovation.
