From reality to the hybrid digital twin: IMCS presents itself at the first dtec.bw Jahrestagung

20 September 2024

The first dtec.bw Jahrestagung took place on September 17th and 18th on the campus of UniBw Munich. This first conference of the new format, which will alternate between the UniBw locations in Munich and Hamburg every year in future, was entitled ‘Research with added value for all dimensions’ and intended to emphasise the visibility of the 68 dtec.bw projects within and their relevance for the Bundeswehr. The IMCS was also represented with a stand as part of the RISK.twin project.

Together with colleagues from the other RISK.twin sub-projects and the ‘Structural Health Monitoring (SHM)’ project at HSU/UniBw Hamburg, the IMCS presented its work on the construction of reduced simulation models using scientific machine learning methods. The main focus here was on the collaboration between our institute and the Institute for the Protection of Terrestrial Infrastructures of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR/PI).

Sunny weather and lively discussions with our project partners and the interested visitors made the first dtec.bw Jahrestagung a successful event and we are already very excited to see what awaits us at future conferences.
