A Festive Evening with Our Team and Our Colleagues from DLR

This week, our institute and our close collaboration partners from the DLR Institute for the Protection of Terrestrial Infrastructures gathered after work to enjoy the Christmas market on the UniBw campus. It was a wonderful opportunity to relax, share a cup of Glühwein, and strengthen connections.

 

We’re grateful for this time together and are already looking forward to next year’s gathering!

We are delighted to share some recent updates to the research section of our institute’s website!

IMCS visit and colloquium lecture by Serge Nicaise

On December 05, 2024, Prof. Dr. Serge Nicaise gave a lecture on “A posteriori goal-oriented error estimators based on equilbrated flux and potential reconstructions” as part of the Applied Mathematics Colloquium. The renowned mathematician was previously a guest at our institute for a week.

IMCS Christmas party with curling event

The traditional IMCS Christmas party took place on Wednesday, 4 December 2024. This year's venue was the beautifully furnished Park-Café München with its curling rinks not far from the old botanical garden.

Research Days 2024 in Herrsching am Ammersee

On November 26 and 27, the research group "Computational Simulation," led by Prof. Popp, held its annual Research Days in Herrsching am Ammersee. This year’s theme, “Open Science,” was reflected in various lectures and workshops.
