IMCS says goodbye to Venant Habiyambere
16 Mai 2024
At the end of this month, the IMCS is saying goodbye to its longest-serving employee Venant Habiyambere. After 35 years (!) at the UniBw, the technical employee is taking his well-deserved retirement. To mark the occasion, Venant hosted a small retirement party at the institute yesterday with home-made African specialties.
At the beginning of the celebration, Institute Director Thomas Apel reviewed Venant's time at the UniBw. This can be roughly divided into three phases, each of which lasted around a decade and was characterized by numerous superiors and different professional orientations at the institute. Venant had a total of seven different supervisors and was in charge of several computer-based laboratories. In addition to his reliability, calmness and consistency, he was characterized above all by his positive and cheerful attitude at all times. At the end of his speech, Thomas Apel presented Venant with a self-made photo book and a 3D-printed institute logo to thank him for his many years of service.
Dear Venant, the IMCS wishes you a wonderful and relaxing time in retirement. We will miss you very much and of course hope that you will not forget us and come to visit us from time to time!
