IMCS institute excursion - adventures on the Blomberg

8 August 2024

On August 8, the annual IMCS institute excursion took the employees to the Blomberg near Bad Tölz. After the ascent with the mountain railroad, there was a small breakfast in the Blomberghaus, which provided energy for the rest of the day. The participants then set off on an idyllic hike to the Heiglkopf to enjoy the beautiful view over the Bavarian Alps, followed by a short stop at a cozy mountain hut. Due to the onset of a thunderstorm, this immediately served as a refuge and provided a wonderful opportunity to get to know colleagues better away from the daily work routine and to strengthen team spirit. When the rain finally let up a little, the brave IMCS employees set off on the last part of the hike back to the Blomberghaus. There, the day came to a relaxed end with excellent food before the highlight of the day, the descent on the infamous "Blomberg Classic" summer toboggan run. Although one or two employees experienced first-hand that the rapid speed on the toboggan run should not be taken lightly, all participants arrived safely in the valley at the end and were delighted with the snapshots from the cameras they had attached.

We would like to thank the organizers Aysun Dincer-Gedik, Max Firmbach, Christopher Steimer and Philipp Zilk and are already looking forward to the next excursion.
