Applied Mathematics Colloquium Talk by Thomas Richter
20 November 2024
As part of the Colloquium for Applied Mathematics, organized by Professors Apel, Gerdts, and Klein, Prof. Dr. Thomas Richter from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg delivered a fascinating lecture on "Modeling and Numerical Analysis of Sea Ice". He not only presented the latest insights into sea ice modeling but also illustrated them with impressive visuals.
During the subsequent discussion and Q&A session, Prof. Dr. Richter addressed the audience's questions, fostering a lively scientific exchange.
Following the event, there was an opportunity to further discuss the lecture in a smaller group over an excellent Greek dinner.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Prof. Dr. Richter for his engaging and enriching contribution, as well as to Dr. Johannes Pfefferer, who initiated the invitation for Prof. Dr. Richter to visit our university.
