Professor Popp becomes Associate Editor for the journal AMSES
23 September 2024
IMCS is proud to announce that Professor Alexander Popp has been appointed as Associate Editor for the prestigious Springer journal Advanced Modeling and Simulation in Engineering Sciences (AMSES).
AMSES is a gold open-access journal, providing unrestricted access to cutting-edge research in the field of computational mechanics. Affiliated with the French Computational Structural Mechanics Association (CSMA) and led by Editor-in-Chief Professor Francisco Chinesta, the journal is gaining recognition as a platform for innovative contributions in modeling and simulation. Despite being a relatively young journal, AMSES is quickly rising in prominence, particularly for its focus on advanced and innovative modeling approaches, as well as numerical strategies for the simulation of materials, processes, and structures governed by mechanical laws.
As part of his editorial duties, Professor Popp will play a key role in shaping the future of the journal, guiding contributions that push the boundaries of research in the domain. AMSES regularly invites submissions to its special article collections, which aim to address specific challenges and advancements in modeling and simulation. These collections are part of an ongoing call for papers, providing a valuable opportunity for researchers to showcase their work in a rapidly evolving field.
