IMCS contributes to the 7th meeting of the PhD student network "Digital Bridge"

On October 17th and 18th 2024, the seventh meeting of the PhD student network "Digital Bridge" was held on the campus of UniBw M, in which the two Universities of the Bundeswehr cooperate in research on the digitization of bridges and structural health monitoring.
The workshop was divided into different disciplines, ranging from structural health monitoring, BIM and FEM, mathematics and statistics, steel structures, to AI and probability. IMCS staff member Bishr Maradni presented his work on hybrid digital twinning of reinforced concrete structures. The workshop members also participated in the intensive discussions on applications in academia and industry with representatives from the Technical University of Munich and Inria in Rennes, from which Dr. Michael Döhler was invited to give an expert talk on the topic of scientific uncertainties in system identification.
