Ten contributions to the GACM Colloquium 2022
26 September 2022
The 9th GACM Colloquium on Computational Mechanics for Young Scientists from Academia and Industry in Essen brought young researchers together to present and discuss their recent research activities in the field of numerical modeling in engineering and science. Scientific members of IMCS contributed to the following sessions:
- Advanced discretization schemes for computational mechanics of structures, solids, fluids and their interaction (Eugenia Gabriela Loera Villeda, Matthias Mayr and Rishav Shaw)
- Artificial neural networks in material and structural mechanics (Tarik Sahin)
- Computational biomechanics and biomedical engineering of active biological systems - from methods to clinical application (Martin Frank and Sebastian Brandstäter)
- Data-integrated modeling and simulation (Thank Thank Kochmann)
- General session (Christopher Steimer and Max Firmbach)
- Recent advances in numerical simulation of time-dependent problems (Max von Danwitz)
Full titles of all recent IMCS presentations can be found in the collection IMCS on Tour.
Besides presentations and discussions, it was a unique opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other scientists from different disciplines.
We would like to thank the organizing team of GACM 2022 for the successful conference.
