Mark Minas hat an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg Informatik studiert und mit dem Diplom abgeschlossen. Anschließend promovierte er dort zum Dr.-Ing. Seine Habilitation erfolgte im Jahr 2000 in praktischer Informatik.

Bis 2002 hat er an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter gearbeitet. 1993/94 war er als Postdoktorand am International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley, Kalifornien.

2002 übernahm er an der Fakultät für Informatik der Universität der Bundeswehr München die Vertretungsprofessur für Datenbanken und Informationssysteme. 2003 wurde er auf diese Professur berufen, die dann in Professur für Programmiersysteme umbenannt wurde.

Von Oktober 2010 bis Oktober 2014 war Mark Minas Dekan der Fakultät für Informatik

  1. Text-to-Model-Transformationen für DiaMeta

    DiaMeta ist ein Framework zur Erstellung graphischer Editoren. DiaMeta beinhaltet einen Generator, der aus einem auf EMF basierenden Modell der visuellen Sprache sowie weiteren Spezifikationsanteilen einen  graphischen Editor für die so beschriebene Sprache erzeugt. Visuelle Sprachen bestehen aber bnicht nur aus graphischen Anteilen, sondern meist auch aus textuellen Anteilen. Bislang können diese mit DiaMeta aber noch nicht beschrieben werden. In dieser Bachelor- oder Studienarbeit soll das existierende Werkzeug EMFText oder ein anderes geeignetes Werkzeug genutzt werden, um textuelle Anteile in Diagrammen zu parsen und in entsprechende Modelle zu transformieren.

Kompetenztraining Soft-Skills/Projektarbeit

In den Bachelor-Studiengängen Informatik und Wirtschaftsinformatik sind im dritten Studienjahr die Veranstaltungen "Kompetenztraining Projektarbeit" oder "Kompetenztraining Soft-Skills" zu belegen. Dabei handelt es sich um Einzel/Kleingruppenpraktika bei allen Dozenten der Fakultät, in den im Gesamtumfang von etwa 60 Stunden an Lehrveranstaltungen (z.B. als Tutor) oder in Projekten mitgearbeitet wird.


Angebotene Projekte

  1. Erstellung eines Installers für DiaGen / DiaMeta
     

    DiaGen/DiaMeta ist ein Werkzeug zur Spezifikation und Generierung graphischer Editoren für visuelle Sprachen. Die Entwicklung von DiaGen/DiaMeta erfolgt über ein Subversion-Repository mit Hilfe des Projekt-Management-Werkzeugs Maven. Um DiaGen/DiaMeta in einfacher Weise über das Web herunterladen und installieren zu können, sollte das Framework in Form eines sogenannten Installers (vergleichbar einer herunterladbaren und ausführbaren Datei Setup.exe im Windows-Umfeld) verpackt werden können.

    Im Rahmen dieses Projekts ist ein Verfahren zu konzipieren, den jeweiligen Stand des Subversion-Repositories von DiaGen/DiaMeta in Form eines Installers zusammenzupacken. Hierfür kann ein freier Installer-Generator wie z.B. IzPack verwendet werden.

    Das Projekt kann in einer Zweier-Gruppe bearbeitet werden.
