5 März 2024
On Monday, February 12, 2024, the M-MATISSE Payload Phase A kick-off was held in Paris. M-MATISSE is one of three medium-class missions selected for further study by ESA. The M-MATISSE mission intends to explore Mars by deploying two spacecraft, each with identical instruments, enabling simultaneous observation of the planet from two distinct points in space.
T. Andert attended the meeting as the deputy PI of the M-MATISSE Crosslink Experiment, known as MaCro. MaCro will measure the ionosphere and neutral atmosphere of Mars using a radio link between the two orbiters, Henri and Marguerite.
