20 years of Munich Satellite Navigation Summit

17 Juni 2024

Stakeholders from Europe, the US and Asia met in Munich from 20th of March 2024 to spend three days to discuss the progress in satellite navigation. The anniversary was also an opportunity to consider all areas of our lives in which global satellite systems are important: communications, traffic, medical care, emergency services and much more. The proven navigation satellites in medium earth orbit will soon be joined in low earth orbit by the so-called ‘New Space’- satellites, which will provide additional services such as satellite communications and monitoring the integrity of the frequency spectrum. Hence the title of this year’s Summit was: GNSS MEETS FRIENDS IN NEW ORBITS – POTENTIALS AND SYNERGIES!
