IMCS greets a new team member

We are pleased to welcome Ratnadeep Pramanik as the newest postdoctoral researcher in our group. He recently completed his PhD at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, where his research was focused on nature-inspired magnetic soft robotic swimmers and swarms.
Ratnadeep joined our team in February 2025 and will be working on simulations of endovascular devices for brain aneurysms.

We warmly welcome our newest team member and wish him a good start in our team.

IMCS at IACM DTE & AICOMAS 2025

The IMCS participated in the 3rd IACM Digital Twins in Engineering (DTE 2025) and the 1st ECCOMAS Artificial Intelligence and Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (AICOMAS 2025) conferences. The event featured insightful talks and interdisciplinary discussions.

Bavarian Science Alliance for Peace, Conflict and Security Research

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Popp has been appointed Fellow of the newly founded Bavarian Science Alliance for Peace, Conflict and Security Research. This alliance was established in 2024 with the support of the Bavarian University Conference (Universität Bayern e.V.) to bundle excellent interdisciplinary research on peace, conflict and security in Bavaria and make it internationally visible.

CSE Colloquium Talk by Karsten Urban

On February 3, 2025, the first lecture of the new year took place in the Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) research colloquium organized by Professors Apel, Brünig, Kiendl and Popp.
