Guest Lecture in Salzburg

Our colleague Katharina Lorenz recently visited her former university in Salzburg, where she gave a lecture on her current research topic: "Numerical analysis for the very weak solution of the Stokes Problem". The presentation was well received and sparked engaging discussions among students and researchers.

A special highlight was the academic exchange with her former Master's supervisor, Prof. Dr. Andreas Schröder. Not only was it possible to reconnect with previous joint research, but the meeting also inspired ideas for potential future projects.

The visit concluded with a relaxed follow-up at Wirtshaus Zwettler’s, providing a pleasant setting for continued conversation and personal exchange.

Bavarian Science Alliance for Peace, Conflict and Security Research

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Popp has been appointed Fellow of the newly founded Bavarian Science Alliance for Peace, Conflict and Security Research. This alliance was established in 2024 with the support of the Bavarian University Conference (Universität Bayern e.V.) to bundle excellent interdisciplinary research on peace, conflict and security in Bavaria and make it internationally visible.
