Representatives of the BDSV in our MARC – HuMiCS Lab

It was a great pleasure to welcome the representatives of the BDSV – Bundesverband der Deutschen Sicherheits- und Verteidigungsindustrie board of research and technology directed by Klaus Kappen (CTO Rheinmetall) and Dirk Krogmann (Diehl Defence) in our MARC – HuMiCS Lab. BDSV is the Federal Association of the German Security and Defence Industry involving the major companies in the sector (e.g., Airbus Defence and Space, Rheinmetall, Diehl Defence, HENSOLDT, Thales, MBDA Deutschland, thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, HAT.tec GmbH). Prof. Axel Schulte was invited to give a keynote on our research in Human-AI Teaming in military missions (MUM-T). The visit was rounded up by a lab tour in our fighter jet cockpit research facility.

The board members confirmed that they had received significant impetus today for shaping future defence research and technology programmes.
