Space-based services have become an almost indispensable part of our daily lives. Modern life is highly dependent on these services from the orbit, be it in the civilian, military, or national sovereignty domain. In recognition of this high relevance, University of the Bundeswehr Munich focuses its research and teaching efforts on space and the services and applications associated with it. Just as space technology and its application are interdisciplinary, the engineering departments at University of the Bundeswehr Munich cover all necessary fundamental topics for complex technical systems, including control engineering, high-frequency engineering, lightweight construction, computer science, software engineering, cyber security and much more.

Among others, research in the field of fiber-reinforced plastics for satellite structures and functionally integrative materials for satellite components
