The SPACE Research Center is rich in expertise and experience and conducts research on a broad range of topics. This page provides a detailed overview of our research priorities.
The mission of SPACE includes research in the field of satellite research and development. The members of SPACE collaborate on a wide range of projects and intend to further intensify this cooperation and to promote cooperation projects with external partners over the coming years. Here at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, we have access to some of Europe’s best facilities and expertise in the aerospace sector and in space communications. This is an important foundation for our research work and existing cooperation projects across the university. Our shared success is reflected in the large variety of projects, including for the ESA, NASA, the German Aerospace Center, the Bundeswehr, the Federal Ministry of Defense, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, and for industry.
With the SPACE Research Center, we hope to find cooperation partners in the national and international research domain as well as outside of academia. One of our main objectives in doing so is to pool shared goals and resources and to expand our network of researchers. We thus intend to highlight our expertise beyond our professional circles and hope to considerably boost Munich as a research location in this field.
