Philipp Zilk winning the UKIE SIAM Student Talk Prize

On Wednesday our team member Philipp Zilk and two other participants were awarded with the UKIE SIAM Student Talk Prize for their presentations at the 29th Biennial Numerical Analysis Conference, which took place at the University of Strathclyde on June 27-30.

Despite the high standard of student presentations he could impress the prize committee with an outstanding talk about his work on "Approximating Laplace eigenvalues of circular sectors using isogeometric mesh grading". He was especially praised for the clarity of his presentation, which captivated the audience and led to great discussions.

We warmly congratulate Philipp for deservedly winning this award.
