Dr. Joel B. Mozer, Director of Science, Technology and Research at the United States Space Force (USSF) visited the SPACE Research Center.

On 6 September 2022, Dr. Joel B. Mozer, Director of Science, Technology and Research at the United States Space Force (USSF) informed himself about the SPACE Research Center. Dr. Mozer is responsible for strategic research partnerships of the U.S. Space Force and showed great interest in the capabilities of our Research Center as well as of the existing international research collaborations.

Prof. Knopp, one of the two spokespersons of SPACE, reported on the research priorities as well as on the dtec.bw-project SeRANIS. Pivotal points for the conversation were the initiative of DLR, represented by Dr. Kerstin Huber, which organized a tour of Germany for Dr. Mozer, as well as Prof. Knopp's visiting professorship at the Naval Postgraduate in Monterey, CA (USA), a strategic partner institution of the USSF.

Dr. Mozer briefed the Pentagon in Arlington, VA (USA) on his visit to the SPACE Research Center after his visit.
