Professor Stefan Lindenmeier is a founding member of the SPACE Research Center and Professor of High Frequency Technology.
The focus of the Professorship of High Frequency Technology and Mobile Communications is on studying and designing new antenna systems and HF / microwave circuits for beamforming, MIMO and antenna diversity in satellite and mobile telecommunication systems.
Particular areas of interest include receiver antennas for satellite services and antenna diversity for improved reception of navigational services, satellite radio and communication services in vehicles. Current projects focus on antenna arrays for satellite communication, antenna diversity for satellite navigation, satellite radio and vehicle communication at 6 GHz, compact MIMO antennas and arrays for 5G mobile networks up to 30 GHz as well as new construction technologies and materials for compact antenna structures. The construction of new measuring systems and laboratory facilities for the measurement and simulation of wave propagation around the antenna in the environment of the vehicle and in a complex traffic scenario and their application is part of the research work of the professorship.
