Pakistani Evening

At our Pakistani Evening on 8th November, our international students and UniBw buddies got to enjoy Pakistani food and a wonderful and informative presentation about Pakistan by Malaeka, one of our two exchange students from our partner university, the Queen's University in Kingston, Canada. In her presentation Malaeka outlined the different regions of Pakistan - Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltsistan - and continued by presenting the particularities of each region. Furthermore, she mentioned that Pakistan was said to have the highest paved international road in the world called the "Karakoram Highway" connecting Pakistan to China. Afterwards, there was time reserved for questions of fellow students who took advantage of the opportunity inquiring about the schooling system, the many languages spoken in the country and the minorities in Pakistan, for example. A fruitful evening for everyone.
