Your research tasks

  • Evaluate the state of the art in Domain-Specific Language (DSL) engineering

  • Design and assess the use of DSLs for an exemplary task, such as embedded software architecture and interface design at the middleware level

  • Scientifically compare and project the cost-benefit ratio from a small research team to a large development organization

  • Publish scientific results at national and international levels

  • Support the teaching activities and infrastructure tasks of the institute

Your qualification:

  • Master’s degree (MSc) or equivalent with above-average grades in one of the following fields: computer science, information technology, mathematics, or a related field

  • Programming skills (C/C++ or Rust or Java or Python or similar)

 

Preferred but not strictly necessary: experience in one or more of the following areas (please apply even if you lack these specific qualifications but have a strong general computer science background):

  • Experience with concurrent programming

  • Familiarity with DSL toolchains like MPS or XText

  • Experience with POSIX systems, such as Linux

  • Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols

  • A passenger vehicle driver’s license for operating our test vehicles
