The institute's GNSS Receiver and Simulator Group is working on the sophisticated GNSS SDR Multi-Sensor Navigation Analysis Tool (Musnat). The scope of the program is under continuous development and includes a wide range of functionalities. These include:

  • GNSS signal analysis and processing
  • Signal quality monitoring
  • GNSS receiver and navigation algorithm development
  • Integration of additional sensors such as ins or lidar
  • Integration of multiple positioning methods such as RTK and PPP
  • Implementation of SoOP and novel navigation signals
  • IF-Signal generation

Users of MuSNAT can operate the program either via a graphical user interface or as a cmd controlled version. Configuration is carried out via XML file. During processing, the user already receives a wealth of relevant information about the data and signal acquisition. All common navigation formats such as RINEX are provided as additional outputs, as well as several custom formats covering all aspects of signal utilization. When using the MuSNAT GUI, all outputs are also stored in an SQL database, which can be used later with the separate MuSNAT Analyzer to analyze and visualize the data.
