Lukas Rauch M.Sc.
I am a graduate student pursuing advanced studies at the Institute for Structural Engineering (KI) at the Bundeswehr University Munich. My research focuses on the domain of 3D computer vision utilizing LiDAR sensors and point cloud processing, employing learning-based methods to enhance digital perception for Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC). Having completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), I possess a comprehensive understanding of specialized subjects including concrete, metal, and timber structural design, structural mechanics, structural analysis, and numerical methods. Beyond academia, my practical experience as a structural engineer, particularly in bridge and civil engineering during my tenure as a student trainee, has honed my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
