Directions to the campus
Visitors to the University of the Bundeswehr Munich can only access the premises via the visitors' entrance (Westtor). You must be registered to enter the property. Please have your valid identity card or passport ready for inspection at the sentry.
Arrival by car
Arriving by car from the A8
- Leave the highway at Junction 92b (Neubiberg) and head toward Unterhaching/Perlach.
- After 400 m, turn right at the traffic lights toward Unterhaching.
- After 50 m, turn left at the traffic lights toward Unterbiberg.
- Follow the main road. After approximately 1000 m, enter the University grounds on the right.
Please use the following information for your satnav (depending on the manufacturer) to get directly to the visitor gate (Westtor):

Arrival by train
From Munich central station you can take the public transport (MVV) directly to the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. Take the U5 or S5 to Neuperlach Süd. Change to bus number 199 or 217 and alight at Universitätsstraße. The main entrance (sentry) leads you to the university grounds.
Arrival by plane
From Munich Airport you can use public transport (MVV) directly to the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. Take the S1 or S8 to Ostbahnhof. Change to the U5 or S5 to Neuperlach Süd. From there, take bus number 199 or 217 and alight at Universitätsstraße. The main entrance (guard) leads you to the university grounds.
Arrival by public transport (MVV)
- From Munich main station, take the S5 bound for Kreuzstraße to Neuperlach Süd or take the U5 bound for Neuperlach Süd to Neuperlach Süd.
- From the airport, take the S8 to Ostbahnhof and continue on the S5 or the U5 to Neuperlach Süd.
- From Neuperlach Süd, take bus 217 or 199 bound for Unterhaching or Campeon to Universitätsstraße (3rd stop, approximately 6 minutes).
