Outstanding Research and Development Work
Our research institutes and centers – CODE, CISS, MARC, MOVE, RISK, SENS, SMADH, SPACE and ITIS – enable our scientists to pool their research activities and jointly investigate complex topics across departmental and subject boundaries. This contributes to the development of a lively and innovative research culture that initiates new approaches to the key issues of the future. Collaborations with long-standing partners from science, industry, the public sector and society are continually being intensified and new cooperation partners are being acquired. The joint research and development work continuously generates new synergy effects in the field of "Security and Sustainability in Technology and Society" and thus increases the innovative capacity of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and its partners.
The individual Institutes and Centers
The research institutes and research centers of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich bundle existing university and extramural collaborations and act as a central point of contact for the agents working in the fields of the respective research priorities. The common goal of the research institutes is to make the university's key research areas visible and to position them in the national and international research landscape. Other objectives include promoting young scientists, advising users and establishing and expanding research collaborations with public institutions, industry and society.
