Shirin Maria Massumi researches and lectures in the field of Business and Labor Law. Studying law at the University of Augsburg, she specialized in International Business Law and graduated with a Master of Business Law. Subsequently, she wrote her doctoral thesis in the field of Comparative Law German and Anglo-American Law concerning mergers and acquisitions (German title: "Quo vadis – Unternehmenskaufverträge? Eine deutsch – anglo/amerikanische Rechtsvergleichung") with summa cum laude at Paris Lodron University Salzburg.
Prof. Massumi is particularly concerned with the interface between Law and Business and their interdependencies. She has acquired broad practical experience in Business and Labor Law in law firms, financial institutions, private equity companies, management consultancies and internationally active companies. In addition to her professional activities, she has lectured classes for bachelor, master and doctoral students for many years at Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences and at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt and published on the topic of Business Law.
Shirin Maria Massumi works as a lawyer and considers her professorship as a close linkage of professional experience from many years of legal work, her practically relevant research and her university lecture in order to ensure a constant transfer of knowledge from practice and research for the students.
