Olivia Hager M.A.

Olivia Hager studied International Relations and Economics. During her studies, she completed a program at the Institute for Economics and Peace to become a Peace Ambassador.

After graduating, she took on a position as an in-house consultant for the German Armed Forces, where she manages various projects in the field of security policy. A particular focus of her work lies in wargaming: she developed the serious game Scenario Echo for the defense administration and is currently working on the design of an analytical wargame for the brigade in Lithuania.

As part of her PhD at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, Olivia Hager explores how wargaming can enhance long-term learning outcomes. Her current idea of a research focuses on the use of wargames to analyze strategic dilemmas and their application to modern conflict scenarios. She is particularly interested in the intersection of simulation-based gaming and real-world decision-making.
