Professor Georg Düsberg is a founding member of the SENS Research Center and Professor of Sensor Technologies at the Institute of Physics.
Professor Düsberg has held the Professorship of Sensor Technologies at the Institute of Physics, UniBw M, since 1 January 2007. He studied chemistry at Kassel University and pursued graduate studies at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart and at Trinity College in Dublin. He earned his doctorate at the University of Tübingen in 2001. Between 2001 and 2007, he worked for Infineon. In 2007, he took on a position as Associate Professor in the School of Chemistry, Trinity College Dublin.
Professor Düsberg’s research focuses on developing novel components with low-dimensional materials. For integration into silicon technology, these functional materials are synthesized and integrated with cutting-edge microprocessor technologies. The resulting hybrid devices are used in information and sensor technologies.
Professor Düsberg has written more than 250 papers, which have been cited over 35,000 times.
