Curriculum vitae
Matthias Bleckmann received his doctorate in solid state physics from the Technical University of Braunschweig in 2009. During his doctorate, he was also a visiting researcher at the University of Hokkaido, Sapporo, Japan, at University College London (UCL), London, UK and at the Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Fisicas (CBPF), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since 2009 he has been working at the Wehrwissenschaftliches Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe (WIWeB). Initially, he was responsible for thermal analysis and microstructure analysis, in particular X-ray diffraction. From 2015 to 2029, he was head of the Bundeswehr's 3D printing center and responsible for the entire process chain from digitalization to production. From 2019 to 2020, Matthias Bleckmann worked as a guest scientist at the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) on the topic of additive manufacturing. Since 2020, he has been responsible for the topics of materials for protection and effects as well as camouflage materials at WIWeB.
