We, Professor Baccarella and the team at the Chair of Innovation Management, explore innovations from a holistic perspective. We look at the emergence of innovations, starting with ideation and concrete approaches to foster creativity, the implementation and commercialization of innovations in organizations and markets up to their eventual replacement by disruptive innovations. Our research focuses in particular on the analysis of consumer perceptions and behavior in innovation contexts as well as on the analysis of (digital) business models. The interplay of strong theoretical relevance and high practical benefit is important to us. The methods used in our research mainly involve quantitative-empirical approaches, with a strong focus on experimental studies. However, we also use qualitative approaches to address a wide range of research questions.
