Open Access publishing makes it possible to make knowledge generated in the course of this research available to society and the scientific community in a comprehensive, sustainable and unrestricted manner. In keeping with its self-image, the University of the Bundeswehr Munich is committed to the principles of Open Access described in the "Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities".
The University of the Bundeswehr Munich supports all members of the university's scientific community in open access publications by providing Athenean research as technical infrastructure and financially, provided that it has undergone a peer review process.
