Subject: The Influence of Congruent Interests on the Academic Success of Men and Women in STEM
Professor: Prof. Bernhard Ertl
Project dates: 1 April 2020 – 31 March 2023
Funding: DFG (German Research Foundation)
The project focuses on the persistence and results of students of STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). Based on the predictive power of congruent interests, it takes a longitudinal look at students of STEM subjects and analyses how individual and socio-economic context factors affect academic success and persistence. The project considers findings on differences between individual STEM subjects and takes a particularly close look at those with a small proportion of female students.
