1st Place at Digital Forensics Rodeo at DFRWS EU 2023

Bonn was the meeting point of the international forensics community for the first time this year: The University of Bonn and Fraunhofer FKIE hosted the Digital Forensic Research Workshop (DFRWS EU) 2023.

After a great boat ride on the Rhine this year's Forensic Rodeo took place courtesy of the NFI Forensic Rodeo team!

Out of 22 participating teams, team JimmyThreePockets, consisting of great manpower of Fraunhofer FKIE and Thomas Göbel from UniBw München, who was part of the team, won 1st place at the Digital Forensics Rodeo at DFRWS EU 2023 🥇🥇. We were able to solve most of the very exciting challenges that mainly focused on the forensic analysis and reverse engineering of an Android smartphone image. Besides a lot of fun with a variety of challenging tasks, there were sweatshirts, mouse pads, beer mugs and other cool prizes.
