2017 was the year of the transfer into the Central Campus Library: a new building equipped with the latest in library technology, in which media loan and return is possible via self-service stations. About one third of the University Library’s collections are presented on open shelves in this new building. It features 200 attractive study and work spaces as well as 8 team work rooms, and copying and scanning facilities on all floors. At the same time, the extensive special collections (e.g. on military history and military and security policy) of the former “Wehrbereichsbibliothek VI”, as well as the remaining holdings are stored in closed stacks.
