New Publication on Thermometry and Concentration Measurements in Droplets and Sprays based on Laser-induced Fluorescence

Our latest paper "Two-Dye Two-Color Laser-Induced Fluorescence Spectroscopy on Droplets of Green Solvent Water/Ethanol Mixtures for Thermometry and Mixture Composition" showcases some recent progress in our research on thermometry in sprays.

This work highlights advancements in our spectroscopy-based temperature approach including a discussion of the limitations of the two-dye two-color LIF technique. It also showcases spectroscopic measurements in jets and proposes the application of the method for determining mixture composition in binary water/ethanol droplets and sprays. With both liquids classified as "green solvents" this fluorescence technique focuses on measurements in emerging applications geared toward greater sustainability.
