Duong Keo is a Ph.D. candidate at Bundeswehr University Munich, Germany and he is also a history lecturer at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He obtained his BA in History and MA in Southeast Asian Studies. He has been engaging in developing educational tools, doing research on Cambodian violence past and post-conflict Cambodia, nationalism, and ethnic conflict. He published a book entitled, “Khmer Rouge Nationalism and Mass Killing: Perceptions of the Vietnamese”. Now, he is now doing his Ph.D. research on "Competing Popular Historical Narratives about the Vietnamese in Cambodia from the Pre-Colonial Period to the present" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Timothy Williams, and receives his Ph.D. research funding from the Gerda Henkel Foundation.
