Dr. Manuela Pietraß is Professor of Educational Science at the Universität der Bundeswehr München. She was visiting professor at the Universität Nürnberg-Erlangen and had a chair for media education at the Pädogische Hochschule in Freiburg; in 2010 she took the chair in educational studies and media education at the Universität der Bundeswehr München. Her main research interests lie in the didactical usage and effects of media design; media realities; theory of media education and media competence. Manuela Pietraß is a member of the board of the JFF (www.jff.de), an institute for research in media education and media-pedagogical practice in Munich.
