The main field of work is the development of autonomous acting robot systems. The entire development of the robot takes place at the institute, starting with the sensors and actuators, the programming of the microcontroller and the application development in ROS.

 

In addition to control by prefabricated processors, the use of FPGA circuits as a SoC system (system on a chip) is being investigated. Controlled by an integrated processor (soft core or HPS), co-hardware modules are created and controlled using a hardware description language (HDL).
